I invite you to think about your passion, think about the change you would like to see in the world and the legacy you would like to leave behind in our community. What about the community legacy you would like to leave to your children and grandchildren? When I talk with a donor, these are the first questions I ask.
As a community foundation, we offer donors endless choices and flexibility; it makes us fundamentally unique. We enable almost any philanthropic dream to be fulfilled through a wide variety of fund types. My questions for first time donors help them decide that question of “how” – how do you wish to contribute to the causes you are passionate about? Do you want to be actively involved in the grant making process? A Donor Advised Fund might be for you. Do you trust the Community Foundation to meet the ever-changing needs of the community on your behalf? A Field of Interest or Unrestricted Fund is likely a good fit.
Everyone can be a philanthropist at the Community Foundation of Cleveland and Bradley County. Our largest gift we have received was $2 million dollars, the smallest was $25 dollars. Any person or organization can contribute to any existing Fund at any time.
We can also help you establish your own Fund that will make a difference for generations to come. A Fund can be established with a minimum of $5,000. Many donors also use appreciated assets such as stocks and real estate as gifts to a Fund.
The Community Foundation will always be here to fulfill and steward the passions of our donors and improve our community. We have the power to change our community for the better, forever.
