Kelby Fritts Memorial Scholarship Fund

Kelby FrittsKelby Fritts will always be remembered for her dedication to her friends and family, her education and her community. She graduated from Polk County High School in 2018 as the salutatorian of her class. Kelby not only excelled in academics, but also in school-related activities. She was a two-sport athlete for the Lady Wildcats, playing on the basketball and softball teams. She was an all-district softball player during the 2015, 2017 and 2018 seasons as well as receiving the 2018 District 5AA defensive player of the year award. Kelby also played travel softball in the off season and had a great passion for the game.

Kelby was a 2018 Whirlpool Foundation Sons & Daughters Scholarship recipient and was to attend the University of Tennessee – Chattanooga in the fall.

Kelby’s family along with the Whirlpool Foundation established this scholarship in her memory to recognize a Polk County High School student who has the same passion and positive qualities that Kelby exhibited – a caring heart, hardworking and a desire to succeed.

The Kelby Fritts Memorial Scholarship recognizes a Polk County student with a $1,000 scholarship.
