Community Foundation Scholarship Opportunities
Thanks to the generosity of our donors dedicated to investing in students’ futures, we administer scholarship funds through an open application process. Some scholarships help students from a particular school or program; others provide financial assistance to those pursuing a specific field of study; still others assist students most in need.

Review the criteria for each scholarship to determine eligibility.
- Alvin Word Memorial Nursing Scholarship – (Undergraduate) open to all high school seniors pursuing a nursing degree
- Ashlyn Lamberth Memorial Scholarship Fund – (Undergraduate) open to all Bradley High School seniors
- Coombs Motivation Scholarship Fund – (Undergraduate) open to all local public school seniors – click “here” to apply for this scholarship
- Grayson Moser Memorial Scholarship Fund – (Undergraduate) open to all Cleveland High School seniors – click “here” to apply for this scholarship
- Luanne Winn Memorial Scholarship Fund – (Graduate: master’s or doctorate) open to AOPi’s at UTK who are pursuing a career in the medical field at an accredited institution of higher education
- Kelby Fritts – (Undergraduate) Open to all Polk County High School Students
- MaKlain Lawson Memorial Scholarship Fund – (Undergraduate) open to all Bradley High School seniors
- Ocoee Foundation Scholarship Fund – (Undergraduate) open to all local high school seniors (including homeschool community) pursuing a degree in a healthcare related field – click “here” to apply for this scholarship
- Miller Industries Scholarship Fund – (Undergraduate) open to all high school seniors who are a child or grandchild of a Miller Industries Employee.
- Polk County Chamber Scholarship Fund – (Undergraduate) open to all high school seniors within the Polk County Communities
- Ron Spangler Memorial Scholarship Fund – (Undergraduate) open to all high school seniors who attended Ocoee Middle School
To apply, click on the scholarship you are interested in above and submit the application. Your FAFSA must be submitted to the Department of Education before completing the scholarship application. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 13, 2026.
The Community Foundation Scholarship Timeline:
| November-December | Scholarship applications are available to the general public. |
| January – March | Complete and submit scholarship application, along with all support materials to The Community Foundation of Ocoee Region by the deadline. |
| Late March/Early April | Scholarship Committee meets and selects recipients |
| Mid May | Applicants notified about Committee’s decisions. |
| Late May – Mid June | Final materials received from all recipients. |
| Late July – Early August – Fall
Late December – Early January – Spring |
Checks are sent to the institutions. |
