Tennessee Valley Diaper Bank is a non-profit organization that knows diapers are as essential to a baby’s healthy development as a mother’s love. We opened in Cleveland TN because we recognized a great need in our community that was not being supplied. Keeping our infants and toddlers healthy is the key to building a solid foundation for all children to reach their full potential, yet 1 out of 3 families struggle just to provide clean diapers for their child. Imagine being in the position of deciding between child care or diapers because you can only afford one of them.
We feel that every child born deserves an opportunity to grow up healthy. One of our top priorities is to help provide easier access to diapers for the children of families who struggle every day to make ends meet. This not only helps the comfort of babies in need but will allow these families to use the income saved from the cost of diapers and use that income in other areas desperately needed for their family. Our mission is making a difference by eliminating the diaper need in the Bradley/Cleveland area by bringing awareness of the insufficient diaper supply which helps keep infants and children healthy and dry.
Tennessee Valley Diaper Bank will be partnering with existing local nonprofit organizations that are already well connected with the families in need and have well established distribution centers for helping these families and their children. Before Tennessee Valley Diaper Bank, many of these organizations wanted to provide diapers but had no one to provide a supply of diapers to their cause. One of our goals is to keep a steady supply of diapers to these organizations and help them expand their already great services to our wonderful community.
